Individual students or student teams can apply for travel aid to compete in international events under the SSPCA initiative.

The help includes financial aid, mentoring, logistical support, and networking opportunities, allowing students to effectively represent India on a worldwide scale.

The AICTE plan provides financial help of up to Rs 2 lakh per student, covering a variety of expenses including as foreign and domestic travel, registration fees, visa applications, housing, airport taxes, travel insurance, and competition-related equipment.

Students enrolling in diploma, BE/BTech, integrated MTech, and ME/MTech courses at AICTE-approved universities are eligible for funding once during their period of study.

Speaking during the scheme’s introduction, the AICTE chairman emphasized the importance of international competition participation in promoting skill development, knowledge exchange, and cultural enrichment.

He emphasized the AICTE’s  commitment to empowering students to showcase their talents on a global stage.

Application Process and Requirements

Students interested in participating in the SSPCA program must apply offline to AICTE New Delhi, providing appropriate papers such as an acceptance letter from the competition organizers and full competition details, at least two months before the event.

Furthermore, award recipients must present the necessary documentation within one month following the competition, which include a statement of account, technical report, details of assistance received, institutional contribution, and a certificate of participation.
