Abhay Deol Makes Bold Statement on His Sexuality

Abhay Deol, known for his unique roles in movies like “Dev D” and “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!,” recently opened up about his views on sexuality in an interview with The Dirty Magazine. When asked about his sexuality, Abhay refused to use traditional labels. He said, “I see sexuality as a spectrum. The Western way of understanding it is too black and white. The Eastern way is different, recognizing the whole person. I don’t define my sexuality because it can’t be simply defined.”

Abhay believes that everyone has both masculine and feminine traits. He explained, “In my opinion, we are all They/Them. Labels are for other people’s convenience, to put you in a box. I embrace all of my life experiences and don’t like to label them.” In the same interview, Abhay talked about masculinity. He said masculinity is about making others feel comfortable and included. He sees himself as a protector and provider but is willing to let a woman take the lead if she wants to. He also mentioned that he spends a lot of time in Goa and Los Angeles, where he enjoys being anonymous.

Abhay Deol will soon be seen in his comeback film, “Bun Tikki,” directed by Faraz Arif Ansari, and co-starring Shabana Azmi, Zeenat Aman, and Lin Laishram.
