Aamir Khan, known for his impactful and emotional films, has announced his next project, titled ‘Sitare Zameen Par.’ This film is set to follow a theme similar to his 2007 blockbuster ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ which explored the life and imagination of an 8-year-old dyslexic child.
In a recent interview, Aamir Khan discussed his upcoming project, stating that the title ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ is a deliberate reference to ‘Taare Zameen Par.’ He mentioned, “The title of the film is ‘Sitare Zameen Par’ because we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was an emotional film. This film will make you laugh. That film made you cry, this one will entertain you.”
While the theme remains consistent, Aamir Khan revealed that the roles are reversed in ‘Sitare Zameen Par.’ In the original film, his character helped the special child Ishaan, while in this new project, it’s the nine boys with their own issues who assist his character. Aamir Khan will not only act in the film but also produce it.
‘Taare Zameen Par,’ directed by Aamir Khan, was a critical and commercial success, touching upon issues such as dyslexia and the importance of nurturing individual talents. The film featured Darsheel Safary as Ishaan Awasthi, a dyslexic child, and Aamir Khan as art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh, who helps Ishaan overcome his reading disorder. ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was released in 2007 and received several accolades, including a National Award.
