During his ‘Mann ki Baat’ address on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to listeners for his monthly radio program’s ten-year anniversary. On Vijayadashmi, October 3, 2014, Prime Minister Modi launched his radio show ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
“It is such a holy coincidence that this year on 3rd October, when ‘Mann Ki Baat’ completes its 10 years, it will be the first day of Navratri,” PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister further said: “There are many such stages in this long journey of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ which I can never forget. The crores of listeners of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ are our companions in this journey, who have been supporting me continuously. They have provided information from every corner of the country. The listeners of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ are the real masterminds of this programme”.

He is running a ‘Thank you Nature’ campaign in his village. Under this, the village is cleaned for two hours every day. The garbage scattered in the streets of the village is collected and dumped at a designated place outside the village, PM added.
- A massive campaign is also being run on the beaches of Puducherry regarding cleanliness. Here a lady named Ramya ji is leading a team of youth from Mahe municipality and its surrounding areas. Through their efforts, the people of this team are keeping the Mahe area and especially its beaches completely clean, he said.
