Mahadev Betting App Scam: ED Investigates Bollywood Stars’ Involvement| Full List Revealed

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has expanded its investigation into the Mahadev Betting App scam, with Bollywood celebrities coming under scrutiny for their involvement in an event linked to the controversial app. A list of 34 Bollywood stars who attended a gala event in Dubai in September 2022 has been accessed by Republic, shedding light on their association with the app, which promotes betting.

The following is a list of Bollywood celebrities who are currently under investigation by the ED:

  16. DJ Chetas
  17. Malaika Arora
  18. Nora Fatehi
  19. Amit Trivedi
  20. Mouni Roy
  21. Aftab Shivdasani
  22. Sophie Chaudhary
  23. Daisy Shah
  24. Urvashi Rautela
  25. Nargis Fakhri
  26. Neha Sharma
  27. Ishita Raj
  28. Shamita Shetty

Several Bollywood stars have already been summoned by the ED, including Ranbir Kapoor, Hina Khan, Huma Qureshi, and comedian Kapil Sharma, who are alleged to have promoted the Mahadev Betting app. Notably, some of the celebrities listed above are also under scrutiny for attending the wedding of one of the Mahadev Betting app’s promoters, Sourabh Chandrakar, which took place in February earlier this year. The wedding reportedly involved a cash expenditure of Rs 260 crore, and it has been revealed that a significant portion of the payments to the celebrities was made in cash. The ED is investigating possible Hawala (illegal money transfer) connections in this matter.

Chandrakar, in collaboration with his partner Ravi Uppal, operates the betting business through call centers located in Nepal, the Netherlands, UAE, and Sri Lanka, offering platforms for illegal betting on various sports and card games.

Ranbir Kapoor has sought a two-week extension for his appearance before the ED, while Kapil Sharma and Huma Qureshi have also requested extensions for their appearances, further complicating the ongoing investigation into the Mahadev Betting App scam.
