Kusha Kapila Opens Up About Online Bullying After Announcing Separation

Kusha Kapila, a well-known actor and social media influencer, has candidly discussed the online bullying she faced after publicly announcing her separation from her husband, Zorawar Ahluwalia, earlier this year. The couple shared news of their divorce in June, and Kusha recently addressed the challenges she encountered in an interview at the India Today Conclave.

Reflecting on her experience, Kusha shared, “I actually allot a certain time of the day to crying and feeling bad about it.” She elaborated on her coping mechanism, saying, “I give it exactly half an hour, and then I move on with my life. There’s so much to do.”

Kusha Kapila acknowledged that she felt compelled to share her personal news due to external pressures, revealing, “I was honestly bullied into sharing my personal news. This is the first time I’m sharing that. I was 100% bullied into sharing it. But I’m glad I shared it on my own terms.”

She emphasized her desire for control over the narrative of her life, stating, “I did not want anyone else sharing information about my life with the world, without consulting with me first. You have to put on blinders.”

Kusha and Zorawar had tied the knot in 2017 after a period of dating. She previously shared details about their love story, mentioning that they first noticed each other at a friend’s wedding.

In their official announcement of separation, Kusha Kapila had expressed, “Zorawar and I have mutually decided to part ways. This hasn’t been an easy decision by any measure, but we know it’s the right one at this point in our lives.” She continued, “The love and life we have shared together continues to mean everything for us but sadly, what we seek currently for ourselves doesn’t align. We gave it our all, until we couldn’t anymore.”

Kusha Kapila has recently been featured in the film “Thank You For Coming,” which also includes notable actors such as Bhumi Pednekar, Dolly Singh, Shehnaaz Gill, and others. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2023 before its official release. It is directed by Karan Boolani.

Kusha was also seen in Shilpa Shetty’s film “Sukhee,” alongside Chaitanya Chaudhary, Amit Sadh, and Kiran Kumar, which was released the previous month.
