Children Offer Namaz, Pray for Successful Chandrayaan-3 Landing in Lucknow

As the historic landing of Chandrayaan-3, India’s lunar mission, approaches, children have come together to offer prayers for its success. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced that Chandrayaan-3 is set to make a groundbreaking landing on August 23 at 6.04 pm. In a show of unity, young individuals gathered at the Islamic Center mosque in Lucknow to perform namaz and pray for the mission’s triumphant soft-landing on the moon’s surface.

Eidgah Imam and respected scholar Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali shared that a special ‘dua’ (prayer) was held at Darul Uloom Farangi Mahal Eidgah, Lucknow, which saw active participation from madarsa students. Mahali emphasized the significance of the moon in both Muslim and Hindu cultures, highlighting a deep connection to the mission.

Mahali stated, “Children offered namaz at Islamic Center madrasa and prayed for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3.” He also mentioned the involvement of students with a keen interest in science, expressing their curiosity about the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

Commending ISRO’s endeavors, Mahali extended his congratulations to the agency and the scientists behind the mission. He pointed out that if the landing on the unexplored lunar south pole goes as planned, India will achieve a pioneering milestone.

ISRO affirmed that the Chandrayaan-3 mission was progressing smoothly and undergoing regular checks. The agency assured that preparations were on track for the anticipated landing. Various prayers and events are scheduled to commemorate the mission’s success, with the Uttar Pradesh government directing state-run schools to organize screenings of the landing and the Gujarat government’s science and technology council inviting over 2,000 school students to witness this historic moment.

Hindu prayer ceremonies in Mumbai and Varanasi have also taken place, demonstrating the widespread support for the mission’s triumph. As the country eagerly awaits the outcome, hopes remain high for a successful landing and a significant leap in India’s space exploration endeavors.
