Kargil Vijay Diwas On July 26th, India holds a celebration known as 2023 to remember the bravery and valor of Indian soldiers who gave their lives in the 1999 Kargil War. The triumph of Operation Vijay, an important military victory over Pakistan, is remembered on this day.
The Kargil Vijay Diwas, sometimes referred to as the Kargil War or Kargil Conflict, will be commemorated in India for the 24th time in 2023. In the Kargil area of Jammu and Kashmir in 1999, Indian soldiers engaged in combat with Pakistani invaders who had breached the Line of Control (LOC). Under Operation Vijay, the Indian Army reclaimed significant positions and drove Pakistani forces out.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lay a wreath at the Kargil War Memorial in Ladakh’s Dras on the 24th Kargil Vijay Diwas to honor the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Kargil war on Wednesday. He also went to the museum known as the “Hut of Remembrance,” which was built in honor of the Kargil warriors.
General Manoj Pande, the head of the Army, Admiral R Hari Kumar, the head of the Indian Navy, General Anil Chauhan, the head of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, and others also placed wreaths at the war memorial to honor the fallen.
On the 24th anniversary of the war, four Army Aviation MIG 29 planes and three Cheetal helicopters flew by the Kargil War Memorial while dropping flower petals.
