PM celebrates the destruction of 1,44,000 kgs of seized drugs as a historic milestone
The destruction of 1,44,000 kg of seized drugs today has been praised by India’s Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, as a historic victory in the ongoing battle on drugs.
In a tweet, the Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, said that with this achievement, India had destroyed 1 million kg of drugs worth Rs. 12,000 crores in just one year, setting a world record.
At the Regional Conference on Drug Trafficking and National Security, the amazing feat was accomplished. This is a prime example of the MHA’s consistent pursuit of the PM’s goal of a drug-free India.
