On July 6, 2023, Karanveer Singh Garcha, a 25-year-old Punjabi gangster, was fatally shot by unknown attackers in Coquitlam, Canada. Garcha, who was involved in the activities of a gangster gang, was targeted in the incident, according to The Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) received a report of the shooting at 9:20 pm on Sunday in Coquitlam. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they discovered Garcha severely injured. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Garcha succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The investigation conducted by IHIT revealed that Garcha was associated with activities such as robbery, smuggling, and drug dealing.
IHIT’s Timothy Pierotti stated that they are seeking information on an individual who had been in contact with Garcha in the days leading up to the shooting. This person had dropped Garcha off at the condominium complex, accompanied by the vehicle’s driver.
It is suspected that individuals familiar with Garcha may be connected to the attack, as public safety warnings were issued in December 2022 for Garcha and another man due to their alleged involvement in gang activities. The Surrey RCMP had issued a press release at the time, warning the public about the two men and the potential danger they posed.
The investigation into Karanveer Singh Garcha’s murder is ongoing, as authorities work to uncover the motives and identities of the perpetrators involved in this tragic incident.
