Senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is set to be sworn in as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister on December 5, after members of the core committee approved his name during a meeting on Wednesday.
Senior party officials, including Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, and Fadnavis, attended today’s BJP core committee meeting.
The saffron party has also chosen Sitharaman and Rupani as central observers for the Maharashtra legislative party’s conference.
