According to an official release, the Uttar Pradesh government will invest more than Rs 77.5 crore to secure the health and well-being of all pilgrims visiting the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj.
According to the announcement, the government has asked officials to complete all healthcare preparations for the religious fair, which is set for January, by December 15.
According to the statement, the Health Department has made provisions for guests to receive modern medical services such as X-Rays, MRIs, and laboratory tests.
High-tech temporary hospitals are being built to meet any medical needs, with a capacity to manage up to 10 lakh OPD (outpatient department) visits and 10,000 inpatient department (IPD) admissions, according to the report.
The government has also announced that a team of physicians from AIIMS Raebareli will be present to provide medical care to the pilgrims.
V K Mishra, Joint Director of Medical Health in Prayagraj, stated that the Health Department is working hard to ensure that everything is ready for the Mahakumbh, as directed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. A devoted crew of officials works around the clock to keep the devotees healthy.
To support this effort, a 100-bed hospital is being built on the Parade Ground, and all essential testing facilities will be provided to guests. According to Mishra, the goal is to accommodate up to ten lakh outpatient visits (OPD) and ten thousand inpatient admissions (IPD).
Major hospitals in the area are also being upgraded to ensure that many devotees can access the care they need without any hassle, he added.
