Rohit Sharma’s Team India has accomplished an astounding achievement ahead of the second Test against New Zealand, which begins on Thursday at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
No team in Test cricket’s 147-year history has been able to match this feat.
The Indian cricket team is the only team to score 100 sixes in Test cricket in a single year. Team India accomplished this feat in the first Test against New Zealand, which they lost by eight wickets in Bengaluru last week.

In 2024, India’s leading six-hitter in Test cricket is opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. The Rajasthan Royals batsman has already hit 29 sixes in nine Test matches and scored 977 runs.
He is followed by another teenager, Shubman Gill, who has blasted 16 sixes in eight matches despite missing the first Test against New Zealand due to injury. Following Jaiswal and Gill, we have Indian captain Rohit, who has 11 sixes in nine matches, and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who has 9 sixes in three Tests this year.
