On Saturday, a bus carrying 45 kids crashed down a canyon in Haryana’s Panchkula district, injuring two children and the driver, according to authorities, reported PTI. The accident occurred near Tikkar Tal when the driver lost control of the bus and it plunged into the gorge.
According to cops, the bus driver and two students were injured, but the remaining youngsters were unharmed. All of the schoolchildren have been rescued and brought to a hospital in Panchkula Sector 6.
Visuals have also appeared on social media, showing the bus stranded in the gorge with some youngsters thrown off.
Deepanshu Bansal, Chairman Haryana Prades Congress Committee (HPCC) Legal Cell, District Panchkula, took to X and said, “”I am shocked to hear about the accident of a bus full of children falling into a ditch near Tikkar Lake near Morni in my constituency. All the children are being rescued, may Mahamai Kali Maa keep all the children healthy and safe. “
