Delhi University (DU) extended the Phase 2 admission process to Friday, August 9. During this phase, aspirants must choose their desired programme and college pairings. The initial Phase 2 deadline was set for Wednesday, but it has already been extended.
Candidates who have completed Phase I must log in to their dashboard to confirm their program and college preferences. The preferences they save will be utilized to decide their allocation and acceptance.
“It is strongly recommended that candidates select the maximum number of preferences for which they are willing to accept admission,” read the official notice released by DU.
Also, Delhi University has announced that trials for performance-based programs, extracurricular activities (ECA), and sports supernumerary quotas are set to begin on Monday, August 12, 2024.
These programmes include a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music, a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education, and Sports.
Further, allocations for these quotas will begin in the third round. Candidates are encouraged to frequently visit the admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) and the websites of the respective colleges or departments for detailed schedules.
The admissions process for the 2024-25 academic session is in progress. Delhi University is providing access to over 71,000 seats across more than 65 colleges through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG).
Last Friday, Delhi University launched Phase 2 of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for undergraduate admissions, following the release of CUET UG results by the National Testing Agency.
The university has released the allocation-cum-admission schedule for the 2024-25 academic session. Applicants can register for DU undergraduate admissions until August 7 at 4:59 pm. In Phase 2, candidates must align the subjects they studied in Class 12 with those they took in CUET UG 2024.
Only CUET papers corresponding to subjects passed in board exams will be considered for admission. After completing Phases 1 and 2 of the CSAS, a simulated rank list will be published on August 11.
Candidates will have the chance to update their preferences from 5 pm on August 11 until 11:59 pm on August 12.
DU TO RELEASE FIRST MERIT LIST AUGUST 16
The first merit list for DU UG admissions will be released on August 16 at 5 pm. Candidates can accept their allocated seats from 5 pm on August 16 until 4:59 pm on August 18. During this period, colleges will verify and approve the online applications.
The academic session, originally set to start on August 1, has been postponed due to the delay in CUET results by the NTA, coupled with issues related to discrepancies in NEET and UGC-NET exams.
This year, DU has introduced a new quota for single girl children under its supernumerary category, allowing them to secure admission based on merit across various programmes.
