Sushmita has now addressed these speculations, stating she has been single for the past two years.
She opened up about her personal life on the first episode of Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, Chapter 2.
Her Dating Life
In the conversation with Rhea, Sushmita talked about her dating life, making it clear she is not in a relationship with anyone.
“I have no man in my life. I’ve been single for a while. It has been almost two years since I have been single, to be precise, since 2021… I am not in a relationship. I have some incredibly wonderful people in my life who are my friends, and they are all just waiting for a moment for me to call them and say, ‘Look, I’m pulling the car out, get in the backseat. We’re driving to Goa’,” she said.
When asked if she is interested in anyone, Sushmita replied, “I am not even interested in anyone at the moment. It is lovely to take a break because I was in a relationship for almost five years. And that was a long time.”
Past Relationship with Rohman Shawl
Sushmita was in a relationship with Rohman Shawl. In December 2021, she announced their separation. Despite this, they are often seen together at various events. Sushmita had earlier said, “We began as friends, we remain friends!!! The relationship was long over… the love remains!!!”
She emphasized that their bond is still strong and filled with love and friendship, even though they are no longer a couple.
Handling Heartbreak
Sushmita also talked about dealing with heartbreak after a breakup. She shared that she invests a lot in a relationship, giving her love, care, and energy. She lets someone enter her house, her life, and her children’s lives. However, if she feels that the relationship is becoming toxic, she walks away without any regret or guilt.
Sushmita said her world is built around trust, and she cannot tolerate betrayal. For her, honesty is equal to respect. She shared that if she is betrayed, she will not fake her emotions and will end the relationship if it is best for her and her daughters’ lives. She has two daughters – Renee and Alisah.
