The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will begin the registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2025) for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses tomorrow, July 15.
Candidates interested in appearing for the law entrance exam can apply on the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The last date to register for CLAT 2025 is October 15, 2024. Interested students must submit the application fees before the deadline.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 24 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.
All admissions to the 5-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2024-2025 will be through CLAT 2025.

- Go to the CLAT official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
- On the homepage, find and click the ‘Register’ button located at the bottom of the log-in window.
- Fill in the required details to create your account and then log in once you have registered.
- Start filling out the registration form with all the necessary information.
- Upload the required documents, including a recently clicked front-facing photograph, your signature, and applicable certificates (SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and BPL). Ensure these documents are in PDF format.
- Click the submit button to complete your registration. Save the confirmation page for future reference.
CLAT 2025: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for the undergraduate course (5-year integrated law degree) through CLAT 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- General Category: Must have secured a minimum of 45 percent marks in Class 12.
- SC, ST, and PwD Categories: Must have secured at least 40 percent marks in Class 12.
For the postgraduate course (1-year LLM degree), the eligibility criteria are:
- General Category: Must have completed an LLB with at least 50 percent marks.
- SC, ST, and PwD Categories: Must have graduated with a minimum of 45 percent marks.
APPLICATION FEE
The online application fee for both UG and PG programs through CLAT 2025 is as follows:
- General Category: Rs 4000
- SC, ST, PwD, and BPL Candidates: Rs 3500
The application fee is non-refundable and will not be returned under any circumstances.
