In Indian 2, Kamal Haasan returns as Senapathy, a character who fights corruption using the ancient Indian martial art, ‘varma kalai’. Despite the character being 106 years old, director Shankar defended this choice by mentioning a real-life 120-year-old Chinese martial artist, Lu Zijian, who was still performing martial arts at that age. Kamal Haasan even joked at a press conference that he wants to continue acting until he is 120 years old.
