In the semifinals of the World Championship of Legends, Yuvraj Singh played a brilliant innings of 59 runs from 28 balls to help India Champions beat Australia Champions convincingly. He hit four boundaries and five sixes during his innings.
Now, after 17 exciting matches, the tournament has reached its final stage. India Champions will face Pakistan Champions in the final on Saturday, July 13. The match will be held at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Pakistan Champions reached the final by defeating West Indies Champions. West Indies captain Daren Sammy won the toss and chose to bowl first. Initially, Pakistan struggled but a partnership between Kamran Akmal (scoring 46 runs with eight boundaries) and skipper Younis Khan (scoring 65 runs) helped them recover. Pakistan finished their innings with 198 runs.
In reply, West Indies Champions couldn’t keep up with the required run rate and lost the match by 20 runs. Sohail Khan was the standout bowler for Pakistan, taking four wickets for 21 runs.
In the other semifinal, Yuvraj Singh’s explosive batting and contributions from Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, and Yusuf Pathan led India Champions to a huge total of 254 runs against Australia Champions. Australia fell short by 86 runs despite efforts from Tim Paine and Nathan Coulter-Nile.
The final between India Champions and Pakistan Champions will start at 9 PM IST on Saturday, July 13. Indian viewers can watch it live on the Star Sports network on TV and on the FanCode app and website online.
