Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has once again been commended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who also emphasized how programs like “Make in India” have significantly accelerated the nation’s recent progress. On “Russian Student Day,” he spoke with college students in the Kaliningrad Region and spoke these things.
“India has one of the highest rates of economic development and growth in the world, and that too is due to the leadership qualities of the Prime Minister. It was during his leadership that India reached such a pace,” Putin was quoted as saying in the interaction with students, according to the Russian television network RT.

The 71-year-old politician, who is competing in March for a second term as president, praised Modi’s leadership for India’s economic progress. He emphasized that Russia can rely on India and conveyed his confidence that New Delhi will refrain from playing geopolitical games with them on the global arena.
Putin stated that Russia is one of the highest investors in the nation and emphasized the government’s commitment to investing in India. He mentioned that Rosneft has invested $23 billion on a port, gas stations, and an oil refinery. “And there are also plans for the future,” he continued.
Earlier this month, Modi and Putin talked about regional and international challenges and decided to outline a plan for future endeavors. On January 15, Modi said on social media, “We also had a useful exchange of views on various regional and global issues, including Russia’s Presidency of the BRICS.” The two leaders discussed the subject of Ukraine and indicated desire in enhancing bilateral relations, according to a separate statement from the Kremlin.
S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, also traveled to Russia last month as part of the two key partners’ continuing high-level discussions. Jaishankar spoke with Putin and made a call during his stay. Three papers were signed in Moscow by the two parties: a protocol on foreign office consultation, a memorandum of understanding on pharmaceutical cooperation, and the Kudan Kulam Nuclear Power Plants.
