Ankita Lokhande Opens Up About Breakup with Sushant Singh Rajput

In a recent episode of Bigg Boss 17, popular television actress Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain have been candidly discussing various aspects of their lives, including her past relationship with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Ankita and Sushant met on the sets of the TV show “Pavitra Rishta” in 2009 and were in a relationship for six years.

Check out the clip here.

In a video clip from the show, which has been widely shared on social media, Ankita is seen talking to fellow housemate Munawar Faruqui in the garden area. She reflects on the period after her breakup with Sushant, saying, “Tab toh koi nahi tha na mere sath. Woh phase mainay akele guzara mainay. Tab logonay kyun nahi kaha ki aapko Ankita ke sath rehna chahiye. Kaha thay log. Mainay toh woh phase akele guzara na” (During that time, no one was with me. I faced that phase alone. Why didn’t people come out and say that he [Sushant Singh Rajput] should have stayed with me? No one was there for me. I faced it all by myself).

When Munawar asks if there was a specific reason for the breakup, Ankita replies, “There was no reason. And I was blank. Ek raat main cheezay palti hain” (One night, things suddenly changed).

Ankita’s account continues as she says, “Woh [Sushant Singh Rajput] ek dum ek raat mein gayab ho gaya. Success mil rahi thi toh log uske kaan bhar rahe the” (He suddenly disappeared overnight. He was gaining success, so people were trying to manipulate him). She goes on to say that she never stopped him and that there was no conflict or differences before their breakup.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. Ankita Lokhande paid a visit to his family a day after his funeral. The breakup and the aftermath of Sushant’s passing had been topics of significant media interest and speculation.

In addition to Ankita Lokhande’s revelations, the makers of Bigg Boss 17 have shared a promo of the “nomination special” episode. The clip features “real-life couple” Aishwarya Sharma and Neil Bhatt seeking revenge for last week’s vote-out episode and nominating Vicky Jain. The intriguing dynamics in the house continue to keep the audience engaged.

Bigg Boss 17, hosted by Salman Khan, features a diverse cast of celebrities, including Mannara Chopra, Munawar Faruqui, Jigna Vora, Isha Malviya, Abhishek Kumar, and the aforementioned Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Aishwarya Sharma, and Neil Bhatt.

You can catch Bigg Boss 17 on Colors TV at 10 pm from Monday to Friday, with 24/7 live streaming available on JioCinema.
