30% commission BRS govt should be sent packing after Nov 30 polls: Nadda

After charging Telangana’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs with collecting 30% commission under the state’s “Dalit Bandhu” scheme, BJP national president JP Nadda said the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led government should be sent packing after the upcoming assembly elections and urged voters to vote BJP.

Mr Nadda, who spoke at rallies in Narayanpet and Chevella, also claimed that the Kaleshwaram irrigation project “served as an ATM” for Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao, and that it has become a “symbol of corruption.”

“Today, the cost of the Kaleswaram project has risen to 1.20 lakh crore from 38,000 crore.” “There was also a scam in this,” he said. After taking power in Telangana, the BJP plans to investigate the alleged corruption in the project and imprison those responsible.

The BJP chief accused Mr Rao of engaging in vote-buying politics by naming Urdu the second official language and proposing to increase the reservation of a specific community to 12% from 4%, which he called “unconstitutional.”

He also claimed that temple lands in the state were being used for non-religious purposes.

“Did the (BRS) MLAs take 30 per cent commission in Dalit Bandhu scheme or not? Did KCR ask in legislators meeting that you (MLAs) are taking 30 per cent cut or not? This 30 per cent commission government should go on November 30 and a BJP government should be brought in and we need to work towards that,” Mr Nadda said.

Did anyone get the benefit of ‘Dalit Bandhu’, he asked the gathering.

The BRS’s flagship Dalit welfare scheme, ‘Dalit Bandhu,’ provides financial assistance at the rate of 10 lakh per beneficiary to start any business of his or her choice.

Mr Nadda accused the Congress government in Karnataka of failing to implement the state’s five guarantees, which included 200 units of free power, free bus rides for women, and unemployment benefits.

“It’s either KCR or Congress.” One thing is certain. That is the definition of corruption. “Modi’s guarantee is development,” he said.

He claimed that Telangana was experiencing 8.5% inflation and that fuel prices were the highest in the country, owing to the KCR government’s refusal to reduce VAT on fuel.

The BJP chief claimed that KCR is promoting his family members by betraying those who gave their lives for Telangana statehood, thereby pushing the state backward.

Naming the families of Farooq Abdullah and Muftis in J-K, Chautalas in Haryana, Badals in Punjab, late Mulayam Singh Yadav in UP, Lalu Prasad in Bihar, Thackerays and Pawars in Maharashtra, Mamata Banerjee and her cousin in West Bengal, Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh, Stalin in Tamil Nadu and KCR in Telangana, he said the BJP is fighting family parties all over the country.

KCR, he claimed, looted farmers, betrayed youth and women, and brought destruction in the name of development.

He claimed that while PM Modi pursues politics of people’s satisfaction, KCR engages in appeasement.

He claimed that the BRS government’s ‘Dharani’ integrated land records management system was used to seize the lands of the poor.

He also mentioned alleged BRS government scams involving government lands in Hyderabad’s Miyapur, the city’s Outer Ring Road, and the implementation of the ‘Dalit Bandhu’ scheme.

“Do you have 5G in your phone or not?” KCR has 5G coverage in Telangana. Garibi (poverty), ghotala (scam), ghuskhori (bribery), ghaplebazi (scam), and goondaraj are the terms. Should such a government be permitted to continue,” he stated.
